The sun may not be shining, but the leaves bursting forth from trees that were moments ago barren proclaim that Spring is here. Spring, heavy with metaphor and new beginnings, has got me a-thinking and evaluating. It's been a month since a sweet junior doctor diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue, the least bad of the many bad diagnoses. Since then, I've had to give up my job and many of the things that I used to define me as a strong modern woman who could have it all.
I've started this blog to help me take back control of my life. If I can't work then I need to focus my scarce energies on the more rewarding areas of my life. I'm not a master chef, a seamstress or a gardener, but I hope to inspire you
I'm on a quest for attainable healthy living. Yes, there are some great paleo and vegan blogs out there and god knows my body needs all the nutrients it can get, but unless you have the self-restraint of a saint and very deep pockets it's just not feasible on a daily basis. So expect good food, simple recipes and the very best of East End living - this is very much a learning curve so please do let me know what you think!
